Ten Favorite Things: Valentine's Edition

I couldn't be more excited for Endlessly Beloved's link up this month. I don't really talk about Joshua all that much (not the mushy stuff anyway), but her link up gives me a chance to do just that! (and YAY for lists!)

So without further ado, here are my ten favorite things about JR:

Five Year Anniversary

ONE: He's driven. He knows what he wants and has a plan to work hard to get there. (which makes me so excited for our future together--I'm in good hands)

TWO: He's a hard worker and never complains. This may be one of my favorite qualities about him because it's so unlike me. I complain about EVERYTHING.

We look like little babies--throwback to highschool

THREE: He compliments me. No, not in that way (well he does give me compliments)  Not be cliche, but he's the yin to my yang. We always joke that I'm book smart and have no common sense and he has common sense and isn't all that book smart. See? Perfect.

FOUR: We act like we are ten years old together. While other couples around us are getting engaged/married/having children, we are holding wrestling matches (I ALWAYS lose), having an epic battle of the bands--guitar hero style, or playing football in the yard. We always have fun.

FIVE: He calms me down. I'm a very high strung, anxiety prone person (see here). He's able to talk me out of a panic attack and let's me know when I'm being ridiculous and panicking over nothing (which is 99.9% of the time)--in the nicest way possible.

SIX: He pushes me to achieve my goals and dreams. He reminds me of what I'm trying to achieve and helps to steer me back on track when I fall off the wagon. My hero.

SEVEN: He's handsome. I mean duh. Does that make me shallow? Oh well. How did I get so lucky?

EIGHT: He let's me (and my whole family) correct his grammar :) sounds like a nightmare, but he's a real trooper! It wasn't broke, it was broken. You broke it. It's the little things ok?

NINE: He's patient. Like I said, I complain about most everything and he's there to gently encourage me to a. not complain and b. to see the bright side in everything

The ONLY picture we got from New Year's Eve.

TEN: He remembers the little things. The things that make me happy, the things that annoy me (which sometimes he uses against me--oh well.) Things that I'll say I want in passing and he will surprise me with it the next time we are together (does that make sense)

Joshua is my hero and I couldn't imagine my life without him. Five years together, we've seen our share of ups and downs, but there's nothing I'd change about him OR our relationship.
Because I said so :)
