In vs. Out (Blog Edition)

What a week for blogging firsts! Juggling a blog and a full time job, it's easy to get behind on all things blog (it's like a full time job by itself--#goals). But then comes a week when you feel like you really just have it all together and things are looking bright--that was this week for me!

IN:

Blog business cards (I think mine are the absolute cutest and will likely hand them out to everyone I meet!)

Blog support groups (that makes it sound like AA or something which it's totally not) Having a Facebook group full of likeminded, helpful ladies is very encouraging. Along those lines, helping newer bloggers get their blog where they want it to be is the best feeling! P.S. Looking for a group? Jasmine has one you can join here)

Reader Surveys (I made my first one this week) If you haven't already, go fill it out. It takes like two minutes

OUT:

Loop Giveaways (let's face it, were they ever really "in"?)

What's on your list this week?

  1. I did the loop giveaway on someone IG for makeup and it's just a lot of work. I just don't do it anymore.
I'm still jealous of your cards.
Thank you for sharing the group doll.

  2. Totally agree on loop giveaways (fingers crossed future me doesnt shoot myself in the foot with that one) but they're very annoying/ cluttery, especially on instagram. I totally get their point and find them to be extrememly effective, but for the outside population... so done. great list!

  6. I did one loop giveaway (that ended yesterday). I don't think I'll do another one. I guess it's good to try them out at least once so you can say you tried. Your business cards are so cute! I need to get some.

  13. Ok. I think I am the only one clueless here. What is a loop giveaway? And how it is different from a regular giveaway?

    1. The ones on Instagram where 50 people get involved and you have to follow and comment on every single one of their pictures to be entered! So annoying!

  16. Fun, I actually do a monthly IN/OUT post similar to this where I list my favorite products from the month along with other things that were in and things that disappointed me. I just hosted a loop giveaway and it went really well for me and the other participants. I kept it to a small amount of bloggers and only ran it for four days, so it wasn't too complicated or complex. I can understand how annoying it can be when they fill up a feed, so thats why I've only done two since I've started blogging.

    1. Yea I think the trick is to keep it small and not let it get out of hand--the one's with like 50+ bloggers is insane!
