Life around here has been pretty hectic lately. But hectic in the best way possible.
Today marks Josh and I's 80th monthiversary (remember when you used to count the months you were dating in Jr. High? Well, we still do) That's 6.67 years!!

I moved back in with the parents. Officially, tomorrow. All that's left to do is turn in my keys and patch a few holes. What a whirlwind. I'd like the say the moving process has been smooth (and for the most part it has been), but dealing with difficult management at my apartment is making me want to pull my hair out. And don't even get me started on UNpacking.
Also, it's so incredibly hot in Louisiana. I didn't expect anything differently, but when you have to unload your car and the humidity is simultaneously making your hair curl and making you sweat all before 7 AM, it gets to be a little much. SOS send Fall.
Even Laney is feeling the heat, but staying cool with her puppy pops and frequent dips in the pool!
So far, I'm not minding so much living at home. Carol made me pancakes on Monday morning and I get three other closets to shop in when I can't find something to wear. Also, I still can't find which bag I packed my make up in so I've been using my sisters. #winning
This weekend, I'm most looking forward to watching the Disney Channel premier of The Descendants (OMG I'm 12), not having to pay rent by the 3rd (hello savings!), and getting back into a routine at my new residence.
TGIAF! (thank goodness it's ALMOST Friday)
Love this!!! I'm going to make some puppy pops for my pup right now!
ReplyDeleteAwww congrats on those 80 months! Truly a remarkable time! Congrats on your move, I guess you ahve it right. Hectic, but in a good way!

That's amazing! 80 months? My boyfriend and I still count the months, something cute just for us! Have fun this weekend, hopefully you can find a way to beat the heat!

ReplyDelete80 months?!! Geez, that's awesome! So happy for ya'll! My boyfriend and I have been together 13 months which seems like nothing compared to you guys! I love the puppy pops idea too and I'll have to let my dog try some! :)

Best thing about living at home is definitely not cooking, not paying rent and sharing clothes/make up with family members! My mum makes the best pancakes ever, I request them every weekend because they are that good.
ReplyDeleteHappy 80 monthiversary!
Good for you! I would love not to write a rent check every month, but I'm not sure that I could adjust to living with my parents again. Hope things stay smooth for you!
ReplyDeleteWhenever someone sends Fall to you be sure to share with us!
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary! You guys have been together so long!
ReplyDeleteThe picture of the two of you is precious! And what a cute pup! I always make my doggy puppy pops, and she devours them on hot days!

Since high school I haven't been able to live at home because my Mom and I argue so much. It's horrible! I think it's great you are able to live harmoniously with your family-even if it does feel like a weird adjustment. Happy 80 month anniversary (:
ReplyDeleteIt's definitely nice to not have to worry about rent sometimes. I lived with my parents for a few months and it was amazing to save so much extra money.

6.67 years?! Hahaha congratulations! I'm glad you're adjusting to moving back in with your parents. I know it's probably hard giving up that independence.

OMG puppy pops!! Cutest thing I've ever heard of :) Coming for summer vacation and moving in with my parents is both the best and worst thing. I love it because my mom treats me like a kid again and even pack my lunch for work (i know) but at the same time, she treats me like a kid which can get a tad irritating. Props to you girl!

Not having to write a rent check is the best feeling! I took the 3 months we didn't have to do that for granted (I just made our house payment today..wah!) Happy 80 months anniversary! :)
ReplyDeleteWow! congrats for those 80 months!! that's awesome!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on those 80 months, and also good luck with your move this weekend! It's definitely an adjustment moving back in with the 'rents, but I honestly enjoyed it!

First of all, Happy Anniversary!! I'm glad to hear the move is going well, and you're right- it's always a perk to have extra clothes to borrow :)
ReplyDeleteWow, happy 80th monthiversary! My husband and I celebrate monthly but we don't add them up, so I did some math and Friday will be our 80th monthiversary, and our 5th wedding anniversary! LOL. FYI---pet peeve alert---I's is not a word. You should had phrased it "Josh and my monthiversary." Thought you might like to know. :-)
ReplyDeleteCongrats to you two! That is amazing -- and too cute that you're counting in months x
