1. Work out 3-4x per week.
A new session of the bootcamp I used to attend starts August 10th and I know I have time to make 4 classes a week--it's just going to come down to a matter of sticking to it and actually going!
2. Unpack/Organize my Room.
I know I said I wouldn't mention the MOVE anymore, but this goal will likely take me ALL MONTH. I'm seriously lusting over how Lauren Ashley from The Fashionista's Diary stores her jewelry!
3. Organize my Blogging Life.
I love this post from Ashley at Lilly & Lemons about what other bloggers do to balance everything. And, I just got a new planner so I feel ready to take on the challenge and continue to bring Because I Said So to the next level!
4. Save X amount of Money/Budget.
Since this will be my first month at home with no rent check and very minimal expenses, I plan to save A LOT. The hardest part about saving will be not going to Lilly on a whim and eating out all the time. I'm a little sad, but the saving money part makes me excited.
Did you make any goals for August?
I am a list person too, but my kids are home for the summer so my lists go right out the window...which is hard for planning-types like me :) August is probably my only month in the year with no plans at all!
ReplyDeleteI think making a list of goals is great because then you know you can accomplish them by looking at them everyday. This months I have tons of goals I want to accomplish and get done. Hopefully we can both stick to our list and get them done.
ReplyDeleteI definitely need to be more organized with my blogging as well; it's so hard to keep it balanced! It's either taking all of my time, or I've completely abandoned it to live 'real life.' Planning is everything I guess :)
ReplyDeleteI need to better organize my blog as well! My other goal is to get to yoga at least once a week. I'm usually pretty good about running 3x a week but I really need the yoga so my muscles don't hurt so much from running.
ReplyDeleteI like your goals, mine will be similar. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteMy goals are to spend more quality time on my blog and also introduce my marketing consulting business.
ReplyDeleteLove this! I just made my goals list today too and one of my goals was to eat out only once a week to save money. It will be so hard, but we can do it!!!! It's so worth it in the long run:)

I've just started doing this and it is such a great idea! Goal setting helps everything in the end run smoother.
ReplyDeleteGreat goals! I'm still crossing off July, and getting ready to write down August's. These months are just moving too quickly for me!

ReplyDeleteLists keep me feeling sane. I'm currently in the market for some new paper goods (notebooks or pads) for this express purpose- you have any suggestions?

Getting organized is on my list too!
ReplyDeleteMy biggest goal for this month is to save! I really need to work on putting more money into savings and less money into my closet.

Thanks for sharing that organizing post! I pinned it. I also am working towards a consistent work out schedule!
ReplyDeleteGreat goals! I have so many things I need to do this month before I head back to college! A lot of our goals are the same!
ReplyDelete1 and 4 are huge priorities for me too! Especially number 1!

Love your goals! During August I'm working on keeping my room organized, as well as getting my Thank You cards from my wedding sent out!
ReplyDeleteI feel you about saving money!! Something my boyfriend and I need to do.
ReplyDeleteLauren's organization is seriously en pointe. I'm with ya in lusting over it!!
